Shan-Tai prayer month, day 20

I live in an island nation that is completely surrounded by oceans – we have no man-made borders, the coastline is our border. So the concept of crossing a border from one country into another is quite strange to me, and even stranger is the idea of being stuck between the borders of two countries. Yet this is exactly where some Shan people find themselves; chased out of their own nation by the Burmese army and denied entry into Thailand, they exist in a precarious state on the border.

Pray for:

• The Lord to reach those between the lines by sending the hope of the Gospel through Shan Christians (2 Corinthians 10:15-16).
• Shan families make the Lord their trust as they face many injustices and hardships  (Psalm 40:1-4).
