Shan-Tai prayer month, day 4

Many Shan men work away from their homes and families because there is little employment to be found in their villages. Being away from their usual communities confronts these young men with temptations of alcohol, gambling and other vices. The loneliness of being away from home tempts many into drink and drugs, leaving them even more broken.

Pray for:

• Those who find solace in drinking to choose to turn from alcohol and drink from the fountain of life  (Psalm 36:8-9).
• That Jesus Himself will confront Shan men in their sin and enable them to see Him as the water of life (John 4:7-26).
• The Shan to see that they can have abundant life in Jesus, the life-giving and faithful friend (John 15:15).
